Audi Q2 Spares For Sale
The Audi Q2 is the smallest SUV in the Audi lineup, built on the MQB platform shared with the VW Polo and Audi A1. Since its launch in 2016, the Q2 has proven hugely popular with younger South African buyers, offering premium Audi quality in a compact crossover package. Efficient 1.0 TFSI and 1.4 TFSI engines are the most common, with the sporty SQ2 topping the range. Parts availability is growing rapidly as more Q2s enter the used market.

About the Audi Q2
The Audi Q2 is the smallest SUV in Audi's lineup, launched in 2016 as a stylish compact crossover aimed at younger buyers and urban professionals. In South Africa, the Q2 quickly found its niche among professionals wanting premium build quality and the reassurance of the four-ring badge in a city-friendly package. Its bold, angular design language with the distinctive C-pillar blade sets it apart from the rounded aesthetics of its larger siblings.
Built on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform, the Q2 shares its underpinnings with the VW T-Roc and Audi A1, which means many mechanical components are cross-compatible — a real advantage when sourcing used parts. South African models have been offered with the 1.0 TFSI three-cylinder, the 1.4 TFSI (later 35 TFSI), and the punchy 2.0 TFSI Quattro in the SQ2 performance variant, which delivers 300 hp through all four wheels.
At Audi Parts SA, we see growing demand for Q2 spares as these vehicles come off warranty and enter the used car market. Our Lenasia South yard stocks turbochargers, DSG gearbox components, headlight assemblies, bumpers, and electronic modules. Because of the shared MQB platform, we can often source parts quickly from our broader VW Group inventory.

Common Q2 Issues
The DSG dual-clutch gearbox is the most common source of trouble on the Q2. The seven-speed DQ200 dry-clutch unit used with the smaller engines is known for mechatronic failures, which can cause jerky low-speed driving, hesitation from standstill, or warning lights on the dashboard. The mechatronic unit is an electro-hydraulic control module that manages gear selection, and when it fails, replacement is typically the only lasting solution. We stock tested mechatronic units and complete DSG gearboxes.
The 1.0 TFSI three-cylinder engine, while efficient and characterful, can develop timing chain issues at relatively low mileages compared to larger engines. The turbocharger wastegate actuator is another common failure point across the TFSI range. On the electronics side, the MMI infotainment screen can develop glitches or go blank, and parking sensor failures are frequently reported. We carry ECU modules, infotainment units, parking sensors, and all commonly needed mechanical parts for the Q2.
